The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), together with the Asian Bureau of Finance and Economic Research (ABFER) and the National University of Singapore Business School, is convening the 12th Asian Monetary Policy Forum (AMPF) in Singapore over 22–23 May to discuss challenges for monetary policy and financial stability in the context of shifting geopolitical and financial conditions. The programme includes a 22 May keynote by Professor Raghuram G. Rajan on links between recent monetary policy cycles and financial stability risks. On 23 May, Dr Adam S. Posen will present on global economic prospects amid heightened geopolitical tensions, Professor Hélène Rey will deliver a commissioned paper on the US-centred status quo in global finance, and Professor Pierre-Olivier Gourinchas will speak on the evolution of international economic and financial linkages. A panel featuring Dr Jan Hatzius, Dr Eric Parrado Herrera and Dr Jeffrey Jaensubhakij will discuss how global policy shocks propagate through financial markets, and the forum will close with remarks by Dr Agustín Carstens on his central banking career.
