The Central Bank of Brazil has ordered the conversion of the Special Temporary Administration Regime (RAET) applied to Banco Master Múltiplo S.A. into extrajudicial liquidation, ending the RAET process for the institution. RAET had been imposed by a presidential act dated 18 November 2025 for 120 days, with the term due to expire on 18 March 2026. Banco Master Múltiplo, part of the Master conglomerate and not funded by public deposits, had been placed under RAET to try to support the continuity of business at its subsidiary Will Financeira S.A. Crédito, Financiamento e Investimento (Will Financeira). The regime administrator’s report submitted on 12 March 2026 indicated that, following the extrajudicial liquidation of Will Financeira ordered by a separate presidential act dated 21 January 2026, there were no longer grounds to continue RAET at Banco Master Múltiplo. The Central Bank of Brazil said it will continue taking measures within its legal remit to determine responsibilities, and that the unavailability of controllers’ and administrators’ assets imposed under RAET remains in place under the extrajudicial liquidation.
