Thailand’s Office of Insurance Commission hosted representatives from the Embassy of Japan in Thailand and the Financial Services Agency of Japan for discussions on insurance-sector supervisory approaches, including regulatory cooperation and how Thailand’s financial sector is adapting to shifts in global monetary policy. The agenda covered monitoring developments in supervisory policy, disaster risk management, trends in health insurance product development, the operating position of Japanese insurers in Thailand, and implementation of International Financial Reporting Standard 17 (IFRS 17).
