The Central Bank of Cyprus published its abridged balance sheet as of 30 June 2026, showing total assets and liabilities of EUR 26.118 billion. The largest asset positions were intra-Eurosystem claims of EUR 16.690 billion and euro-denominated securities of euro area residents of EUR 5.968 billion, followed by gold and gold receivables of EUR 1.577 billion. Other asset items included foreign currency claims on non-euro area residents of EUR 1.134 billion and euro claims on non-euro area residents of EUR 563.915 million. On the liabilities side, the biggest item was euro area credit institutions' deposits related to monetary policy operations at EUR 16.229 billion, followed by banknotes in circulation at EUR 3.266 billion and euro liabilities to other euro area residents at EUR 2.941 billion, including EUR 2.728 billion owed to general government.
