The Dominican Republic's Pensions Superintendency (SIPEN) awarded the “Aquí Sabemos de Pensiones” seal to the General Directorate of Information and Defense of Social Security Affiliates (DIDA), certifying that more than 70 percent of DIDA’s staff have the required knowledge of their benefits and responsibilities within the Dominican pension system. The recognition was presented following pension education delivered to DIDA employees under SIPEN’s “Aquí se habla de pensiones” initiative. DIDA highlighted that, as the body responsible for defending and continuously guiding affiliates on their rights, staff training is essential to provide accurate, timely and efficient orientation to the public. SIPEN indicated it will continue granting the “Aquí Sabemos de Pensiones” seal to other public and private institutions that seek to qualify for the distinction.
