The Philippine Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has received recognition from the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) as an Innovative Financial Education Partner at the Financial Education Stakeholders’ Congress 2025, reflecting the SEC’s delivery of creative and scalable financial education initiatives. The BSP recognition covers programmes that promote financial resilience and inclusion and demonstrate systems for institutional learning and impact measurement. The SEC highlighted recent activities including the Financial Sector Forum relaunch of the Protect Your Money Campaign with a shift to digital platforms to address online scams, the SEC’s production of short-form videos and targeted campaigns, and its participation in stakeholder discussions on tools and practices to improve financial learning. It also pointed to Investor Protection Week 2025 and the relaunch of the SEC Academy, which offers free online courses on personal finance, business formation, and investing, alongside advocacy to integrate financial literacy lessons for high school students and partnerships under the SEC Communication, Advocacy, and Network programme. The SEC indicated it will continue working with the BSP and other partners as part of its efforts to combat investment scams and illegal lending through expanded financial literacy outreach.
