The UK Parliament’s Treasury Select Committee chair, Dame Meg Hillier, issued a statement following Richard Hughes’s resignation as Chair of the Office for Budget Responsibility. Hughes will no longer attend the Committee’s session scheduled for 10:00 on 2 December in the Thatcher Room at Portcullis House, which will proceed with the remaining members of the Budget Responsibility Committee, Tom Josephs and Professor David Miles CBE. Hillier thanked Hughes for his dedication during his tenure and commended his decision to take full responsibility for the incident.
