The European Payments Council announced that the Republic of North Macedonia is now part of the geographical scope of the Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA) payment schemes, following work to align its national payment systems and regulations with European Union standards under the guidance of the National Bank of the Republic of North Macedonia, making it the third Western Balkan country to join.

The European Payments Council announced that the Republic of North Macedonia has joined the Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA) payment schemes.
