The Central Bank of Egypt hosted a three-day knowledge exchange visit by a delegation from the South African Reserve Bank focused on the establishment and operation of Egypt’s Banknote Printing House and Cash Center in the New Administrative Capital. The nine-member SARB expert delegation reviewed the CBE’s operating model, including automation technology, workflow efficiency, risk mitigation protocols, and governance arrangements. Discussions also covered research projects and other currency-related topics, supported by site tours of the Banknote Printing House and Cash Center with CBE officials from African Cooperation, the Banknote Printing House, Banking Operations, and Security.
