The Central Bank of Argentina has signed an agreement with the Deutsche Bundesbank establishing a framework for technical cooperation aimed at strengthening the BCRA’s capabilities through training programmes and advisory services focused on international best practices and specific operational results. The framework sets a joint work agenda covering training and technical assistance, alongside seminars and expert discussions to be held virtually and in person in both Argentina and Germany. Implementation will be handled by the BCRA’s International Affairs Management Office and the Bundesbank’s Centre for International Central Bank Dialogue, with annual planning and evaluation meetings to agree the technical agenda. The agreement was signed by BCRA Governor Santiago Bausili and Bundesbank Executive Board member Burkhard Balz, will remain in force until the end of 2030, and may be renewed by mutual agreement.
