The National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic approved four proposed appointments put forward by banks for key audit and board governance roles, including internal audit leadership and chairing risk management committees. On 23 April 2026, it agreed to the candidacy of Kutman Akylbekovich Shakirov as head of the internal audit service of Open Joint Stock Company Mbank, and Bektur Temirlanovich Esenbaev as audit director of Closed Joint Stock Company Bank Kompanion. The National Bank also approved Tilek Kaarmanovich Ashimov for the role of chair of the board of directors and chair of the risk management committee at Closed Joint Stock Company Asman Bank, and Urmat Nasyrbek uulu as an independent member of the board of directors and chair of the risk management committee at Open Joint Stock Company Eurasian Savings Bank.
