The National Bank of Moldova reported that Deputy Governor Constantin Schendra participated in the “Business Smart Education” conference focused on how financial education can support a more sustainable business environment. The event brought together financial, academic and business representatives from Romania and Moldova to exchange practical experience and improve understanding of available financial instruments. In his opening remarks, Schendra highlighted the role of bank lending to small and medium-sized enterprises in generating jobs and value added, and pointed to dedicated banking products and programmes as a way to support this segment. Discussions also covered credit policies tailored to companies’ current needs, diversified financing solutions, collaboration between banks and entrepreneurs, the role of business insurance in risk management, and the use of capital markets and stock exchanges as alternatives for growth, expansion and investment attraction. The National Bank of Moldova reiterated its commitment to supporting entrepreneurship through a stable, competitive and predictable financial ecosystem.
