The Bermuda Monetary Authority will run a public education campaign from Oct. 5 to 9 for the 10th anniversary of World Investor Week. The campaign will promote financial literacy and fact-based investment decisions, focusing on investor resilience, digital deception and fraud prevention. Guidance will encourage investors to maintain disciplined long-term strategies, manage debt and emergency savings before investing, recognize behavioral biases and regularly rebalance portfolios. It will also address risks from deepfakes, synthetic content, cloned voices and relationship investment scams, while emphasizing that artificial intelligence tools cannot replace independent research and sound judgment. A public webinar on Oct. 8 will examine long-term financial decision-making in a changing digital environment and provide practical guidance on financial literacy and investor protection.
