The Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta named Emily Mitchell assistant vice president and regional executive for its Nashville Branch, succeeding Laurel Graefe, who will depart on June 30 after 20 years of service. Mitchell will provide strategic oversight of the Atlanta Fed’s economic intelligence gathering across the Nashville Branch territory in Tennessee, working with other regional executives to collect targeted intelligence on how people are experiencing the economy and to support monetary policy discussions. The role also includes contributing to the Bank’s outreach in Middle and East Tennessee. Mitchell has served as the Atlanta Fed’s Regional Economic Information Network (REIN) director in Nashville since 2018 and previously held management roles in the Bank’s Community and Economic Development department after joining in 2011.
