The Bank of the Lao published an update on its participation in the official launch of Lao Foreign Trade Bank Public Company’s OneBank Kid Application, a child-focused mobile banking product designed to be managed and monitored by parents or guardians. The app builds on the bank’s OneBank joint-account offering and is positioned as a tool to promote saving and disciplined spending by allowing guardians to set spending limits per transaction and over daily, weekly and monthly periods. It also supports setting up regular allowances via automated transfers and offers access to payments and cash services, including UnionPay and Mastercard cards, QR code payments, transfers and ATM cash withdrawals, alongside a One ID screen that can be scanned in place of a QR code.
