The Central Bank of Barbados has revised the go-live date for BiMPay, the new national instant payment system, to Friday, 12 June 2026, following an assessment of participant readiness and to allow completion of interoperability testing across all participating institutions. The Bank will continue working with participating institutions toward a safe and fully functional launch on the revised date. Until then, customers can continue using existing electronic payment services through the Automated Clearing House, which will remain in operation until BiMPay goes live.
