Angola's Ministry of Finance published RECREDIT's 2025 results, showing the non-performing loan recovery company had recovered a cumulative AOA 139.13 billion by December 2025. Presented in Luanda by chair Mirian Ferreira, the figure was 10 percent higher than in 2024 and represented 48 percent of the amount invested in the acquired portfolios. Those portfolios comprised 476 cases with an acquisition value of AOA 288.87 billion. RECREDIT said delays in specialized courts were materially affecting recoveries on credit claims worth about AOA 422.20 billion that were still in proceedings at December 2025, pointing to the need for closer coordination with justice institutions to improve speed and predictability. Ferreira added that RECREDIT's intervention helps banks dispose of non-performing loans, reduce impairment pressures on balance sheets, and free up capital and liquidity for lending.
