The National Bank of Georgia reported that Vice Governor Nino Jeladze participated in the Ninth High-Level Forum of Central Banks in Riyadh, organised with the support of the IMF Regional Office for Saudi Arabia. The forum focused on sharing best practices in central bank governance, including strengthening institutional frameworks, transparency and accountability, and addressing the digital transformation of financial systems. During a discussion session, participants highlighted the need for robust risk management frameworks amid increasing global financial uncertainty. Jeladze emphasised central banks’ role in maintaining economic stability and called for stronger institutional dialogue and international cooperation to address shared challenges.
