The Securities and Exchange Board of India has extended the suspension of trading in certain commodity derivative contracts on stock exchanges’ commodity derivatives segments until 31 March 2025. The extension applies to derivative contracts in paddy (non-basmati), wheat, chana, mustard seeds and its derivatives (its complex), soya bean and its derivatives (its complex), crude palm oil, and moong. The suspension was originally directed on 19 December 2021 and had previously been extended through 20 December 2022, 20 December 2023, 20 December 2024 and 31 January 2025.
