Uruguay's Ministry of Economy and Finance published updated retail price data for Sept. 1-30, 2026, covering daily, tax-inclusive prices reported by 749 supermarkets, self-service stores and pharmacies nationwide. The dataset covers 207 product and brand variants representing 85 categories of food, beverages, cleaning and personal care products, and fruit and vegetables. Prices fell for 69 variants by an average of 1.90%, with the largest decline at 12.36%. Another 128 variants rose by an average of 2.52%, including a maximum increase of 73.35%, while six were unchanged. Among large supermarket chains' private-label products, one declined in price, one was unchanged and five increased.
