Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Finance announced that Minister Mohammed Aljadaan headed the Kingdom’s delegation at the 124th meeting of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Financial and Economic Cooperation Committee in Kuwait, where GCC finance ministers reviewed topics aimed at strengthening financial and economic cooperation and assessed progress to date. The meeting, chaired by Kuwait’s Minister of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy and Acting Minister of Finance Dr. Subaih Al-Mukhaizeem and attended by GCC finance ministers and the GCC Secretary-General, discussed the Customs Union Authority’s work programme to support completion of the Customs Union’s requirements and reviewed the periodic report under the Gulf Common Market track. On the sidelines, Aljadaan joined a session bringing together GCC finance ministers and central bank governors with International Monetary Fund Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva to discuss the IMF paper “Enhancing Resilience to Global Shocks: Economic Prospects and Political Challenges for the Gulf Cooperation Council Countries (2025)”.
