The Central Bank of Estonia has published its monthly flash estimate of the balance of payments, issued for the last month but one, and pointed users to more detailed information available on its website. The bank noted that the monthly balance of payments is an estimate based on a smaller database than the quarterly statistics, drawing as much available information as possible for the relevant month, including administrative sources and international payments reports. It also highlighted that monthly figures are adjusted once the quarterly balance of payments is released, reflecting the broader set of representative primary data sources, including company surveys. The balance of payments for the fourth quarter of 2024 is scheduled for publication on 12 March 2025.
