The Kuwait Capital Markets Authority (CMA) announced that it has granted Goldman Sachs International a license to conduct securities activities in Kuwait as an investment adviser and an underwriting agent, following satisfaction of the CMA’s technical, supervisory and procedural requirements. The CMA positioned the authorization as part of its efforts to increase the Kuwaiti market’s attractiveness to international financial institutions and to support higher market efficiency and professional practices aligned with international standards, while also linking it to Kuwait’s Vision 2035 objectives and the CMA’s broader regulatory agenda on transparency, fairness, corporate governance and investor protection.
