The Uganda Insurance Regulatory Authority issued a circular requesting all insurers, reinsurers and health maintenance organisations to submit quarterly risk assessment reports, with an initial submission required for the quarter ended 30 September 2025. The Authority cited Regulation 23(a) of the Insurance (Licensing and Governance) Regulations, 2020, which requires the key person in the risk management function to report on the key risks of the licensed entity. Firms were instructed to submit the report for the quarter ended 30 September 2025 by 31 October 2025, and thereafter within one month after the end of every calendar quarter.

Uganda Insurance Regulatory Authority sets 31 October 2025 deadline and ongoing one-month timetable for quarterly risk assessment reports
The Uganda Insurance Regulatory Authority has mandated insurers, reinsurers, and health maintenance organisations to submit quarterly risk assessment reports, starting with the quarter ended 30 September 2025. This requirement is in accordance with Regulation 23(a) of the Insurance (Licensing and Governance) Regulations, 2020.
