Brunei Darussalam's Ministry of Finance and Economy hosted the annual Credit Guarantee and Investment Facility (CGIF) Meeting of Contributors in Bandar Seri Begawan, chaired by Acting Permanent Secretary (Fiscal I) Haji Asrul Adrain bin Dr. Haji Ahmad. The meeting brought together CGIF contributors, including ASEAN+3 member economies and the Asian Development Bank, with participation both in person and virtually. CGIF, established in 2010, promotes financial stability and long-term investment in the ASEAN+3 region by guaranteeing local currency-denominated corporate bonds, with the stated aim of reducing currency and maturity mismatches and strengthening resilience to volatile capital flows and external shocks.
