In a message issued in connection with World Creativity and Innovation Day, the State Securities Commission of Vietnam presents innovation in the public sector as practical changes in management, work processes and technology use rather than only new inventions. The article calls on officials and civil servants to put citizens and businesses at the centre, turn ideas into operational improvements, and spread effective practices more widely across the administration. The commission identifies simpler and more transparent administrative procedures, shorter file-processing times, online public services, digitisation of records and data connectivity between agencies as clear examples of innovation in practice. It also urges staff to propose improvements in how applications are received and processed and how departments coordinate, while supporting mechanisms that encourage and protect officials who take responsibility for new approaches and help citizens and businesses adopt new working methods and technologies.
