The Federal Reserve Bank of New York announced the appointment of Raymond Toenniessen to the New York Fed’s Community Advisory Group, which provides the Bank, including President John C. Williams, with a real-time view of economic issues facing diverse communities across the Second District. Toenniessen is deputy executive director of the D’Aniello Institute for Veterans and Military Families at Syracuse University, where he leads more than 100 employees and oversees national training programs, community service initiatives, research and evaluation capabilities, a coalition for veteran-owned businesses, an alumni and engagement network, and policy efforts in Washington, D.C. His appointment comes ahead of the Community Advisory Group’s next meeting on March 31, 2026.
