The Insurance State Supervision Service of Georgia held a working meeting with Dmanisi municipality leadership as part of Insurance Day Week, focusing on insurance consumer rights, financial awareness and improving access to information. The session brought together Dmanisi Mayor Koba Muradashvili, Municipal Council Chair Paata Quliashvili and municipal staff. Service head Davit Onoprishvili outlined the importance of protecting consumers’ rights in the insurance sector and discussed the Service’s mandate, functions and role in consumer protection, alongside remarks from Manoni Tsikhelashvili, chief specialist in the Consumer Rights Protection and Financial Education Division. The meeting aimed to strengthen cooperation at local level and to clarify how insurance consumer protection mechanisms work, including where citizens can turn when they need assistance.
