Isle of Man Treasury has closed the Isle of Man Homes for Ukraine Scheme and the corresponding Ukraine Sponsorship Scheme to new applicants, citing lower demand. People already in the Isle of Man under the Ukraine Sponsorship, Ukraine Family and Ukraine Extension schemes remain eligible for the Ukraine Permission Extension Scheme, which allows them to apply to stay for a further 18 months. Any applications already submitted under the Ukraine Sponsorship Scheme will continue to be processed under the immigration rules in force when they were received. The government said the island has accommodated and supported 150 Ukrainians since measures were introduced in May 2022, providing immigration pathways, accommodation, and access to employment, education, healthcare and wider community support. It also said support measures have been adjusted over time to reflect demand and stay aligned with equivalent measures in the United Kingdom, with more than GBP 150,000 paid to Homes for Ukraine hosts since 2022 and GBP 950,000 donated between 2021 and 2026 to international funds supporting people affected by the crisis.

Isle of Man Treasury has closed the Homes for Ukraine Scheme and the linked Ukraine Sponsorship Scheme to new applicants as demand has fallen. People already in the Isle of Man under Ukraine routes can still use the Ukraine Permission Extension Scheme to remain for a further 18 months, and pending sponsorship applications will continue under the rules in force when filed. The government said 150 Ukrainians have been accommodated and supported since May 2022.
