The Group of International Finance Centre Supervisors (GIFCS) held a Plenary meeting in the Cayman Islands focused on strengthening oversight of trust and company service providers (TCSPs), including work to revise the GIFCS Standard on the Regulation of TCSPs and to share case studies of supervisory practice and member compliance evaluations. Discussions also covered HR development and capacity-building in international financial centre jurisdictions, peer evaluations of compliance with the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) Recommendations, stablecoin and broader crypto developments across member countries, and new member applications. GIFCS Chair John Aspden described the TCSP Standard as an international benchmark and said updates are intended to reflect experience gained from assessing compliance. The next GIFCS Plenary meeting is scheduled for 22-23 April 2026 in Gibraltar.
