The Arab Monetary Fund, through its Training and Capacity Building Institute, organized a series of specialized remote training courses during March and April 2026 for more than 130 trainees from across Arab countries. The programme focused on technical and institutional capacity building across economic and financial topics relevant to the region. The courses covered climate change mitigation and adaptation, related policy approaches, climate finance, and practical tools for designing sustainable plans. They also examined the use of social media and news data to measure economic expectations and sentiment through natural language processing, textual analysis, and indicator development. Additional sessions addressed financial integration and its links to financial inclusion and stability, risk management in Islamic financial institutions including quantitative approaches to market and credit risk, and regulatory and supervisory frameworks for the Takaful insurance sector, including Sharia governance, risk-based supervision, and implementation challenges in Arab countries.
