Uzbekistan's Ministry of Economy and Finance has registered a national financial reporting standard for agricultural activities that will take effect on Jan. 1, 2027. The standard establishes uniform accounting rules for biological assets, agricultural produce and government assistance related to biological assets, adapting international accounting principles to the characteristics of Uzbekistan’s agricultural sector. The framework also provides simplified accounting procedures for farms. It is intended to improve the reliability and comparability of agricultural entities’ financial reporting and forms part of a broader program to develop a new generation of national financial reporting standards aligned more closely with international practice.
