The Argentina Securities Commission (CNV) held a webinar titled “Building financial citizenship from the State”, jointly with Argentina’s Secretariat of Education and the National Teacher Training Institute (INFoD), under the CNV’s Financial Education Program and the National Financial Literacy Program. The session targeted teachers nationwide and focused on supporting informed financial decision-making, risk prevention and civic education. The webinar presented financial education as a cross-cutting topic relevant to daily life and multiple subject areas, and aimed to provide teachers with classroom-ready criteria, language and pedagogical tools without requiring technical specialization. It also covered the CNV’s role in regulating, supervising and controlling the capital market, emphasising investor protection and transparency, and clarified that the CNV does not recommend investments or guarantee returns but sets the regulatory framework and provides reliable information and official enquiry channels. Fraud prevention content included warning signs of misleading proposals and the importance of consulting official sources, using scenarios inspired by real queries received by the Investor Assistance Office. A recording of the webinar is available on the CNV’s official YouTube channel.
