The International Financial Services Centres Authority (IFSCA) has warned entities against unauthorized use of its logo or representations that falsely suggest they are authorized, registered, approved, recognized or regulated by the authority. Such claims may be made only where IFSCA has expressly granted the relevant status and it remains valid for the activity concerned. The public and other stakeholders should not rely solely on logos or regulatory claims and should verify an entity’s status through the IFSCA Directory before entering into a transaction. IFSCA also advised stakeholders to authenticate purported communications from the authority and exercise caution over boss scams, deepfakes, impersonation and other digital fraud conducted through online platforms.
