The Central Bank of the Republic of Türkiye (CBRT) announced it will begin publishing results of a new Household Expectations Survey (HES) to measure households’ expectations on key economic issues. The HES will also become the source for the household 12‑month‑ahead consumer inflation expectations series used in the CBRT’s Sectoral Inflation Expectations (SIE), replacing the Consumer Tendency Survey data. The survey, designed by the CBRT and conducted in cooperation with TURKSTAT, covers expectations for inflation, the exchange rate and housing prices, as well as investment tendencies. Results will be released monthly at 10 a.m. under “Statistics/Tendency Surveys/Household Expectations Survey” on the CBRT website. With this change, the February SIE results will be released on 24 February 2026, alongside a CBRT Blog post titled “New Approach to Measure Household Expectations: Household Expectations Survey” providing further detail on the new survey.
