The Tanzania Insurance Regulatory Authority (TIRA) has spotlighted the launch of the film Koti Jeupe as a public education initiative aimed at improving understanding of life insurance and its role in protecting families. The film premiered on 17 February 2026 at Dar Century Cinemax in Dar es Salaam and follows a family storyline that illustrates how life insurance can provide financial security after unexpected events, including through the experience of a young girl, Amanda. Insurance Commissioner Dr. Baghayo A. Saqware, serving as guest of honour, praised the organisers and actors, and the event was attended by leaders from ATI, insurance companies and other stakeholders. TIRA linked the initiative to its broader priority of delivering public education through channels such as films, seminars, workshops and the media to encourage wider use of insurance products, including life, health, property and investment cover, as protection against unforeseen risks.
