The Central Bank of the Republic of Türkiye hosted the OIC-COMCEC Central Banks Forum in Istanbul, bringing together governors and senior representatives from Organization of Islamic Cooperation member states. Chaired by Governor Fatih Karahan, the meeting continued the forum’s regular exchange on common monetary, financial and operational challenges. Participants assessed how geopolitical shocks and global economic fragmentation are affecting macroeconomic resilience and monetary policy responses. They also discussed reserve management, central bank communication during periods of uncertainty and fintech’s role in expanding financial access and inclusion. A workshop addressed reserve and liquidity management in evolving markets.
