The Thailand Securities & Exchange Commission Board approved a 180-day freeze of assets belonging to JKN Global Group Public Company Limited under Section 267 of the Securities and Exchange Act B.E. 2535 (1992), following the Court of Appeals for Specialized Cases’ dismissal of the company’s petition for business rehabilitation, which made JKN no longer eligible to undergo rehabilitation under the Bankruptcy Act. The asset freeze relates to an alleged disclosure of false, material information connected to fraud and fabrication of JKN’s financial statements. The SEC had previously ordered the freezing of assets of four other offenders in the same case: Mr. Jakkaphong Jakrajutatip, Ms. Pimauma Jakrajutatip, Ms. Pitsamai Hangthaisong, and Ms. Kamolrat Mongkolkrut.
