The National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic imposed fines on five exchange offices in Bishkek and on an individual for breaches of Kyrgyz legislation and the National Bank’s regulatory requirements related to foreign currency exchange. Each of the five exchange offices was fined KGS 55,000. A Kyrgyz citizen (U.A.U.) was fined KGS 17,500 for conducting cash foreign currency exchange transactions in Bishkek without a National Bank licence.
