The Central Bank of Morocco (Bank Al-Maghrib) and Morocco’s High Commission for Planning signed a partnership agreement to deepen cooperation on the production and exchange of statistics and economic analysis, with the aim of improving the relevance and quality of data used for decision-making and to support economic and social policies. The agreement commits the two institutions to set up a secure, automated system for data exchange, share expertise, and harmonise statistical reference systems, with a particular focus on skills development. Bank Al-Maghrib Governor Abdellatif Jouahri and High Planning Commissioner Chakib Benmoussa also reaffirmed their intention to align the national statistical system with the best international standards.
