The Department of Finance of the Philippines announced that the Government-Owned or -Controlled Corporations' Service Caravan will be held in Cagayan de Oro on June 29 and 30, expanding the program to residents of Northern Mindanao. The event is designed to give the public immediate access to essential government services in one venue, with 16 participating government agencies offering assistance on social protection, health, housing, tax, identity, travel and business-related matters. Services will include Social Security System and Government Service Insurance System transactions such as registration, account updates, benefits, loans and retirement services, alongside Philippine Health Insurance Corporation and Home Development Mutual Fund support on health benefits, loans, housing and savings. Other agencies will provide Bureau of Internal Revenue tax assistance and TIN verification, Philippine Statistics Authority National ID and civil registry services, Department of Foreign Affairs travel requirements support, Philippine Postal Corporation Postal ID applications, and a free Land Transportation Office theoretical driving course for student permit applicants. Small Business Corporation, Land Bank of the Philippines and Development Bank of the Philippines will provide financing, banking and lending support for micro, small and medium enterprises, Overseas Filipino Workers' families and agricultural borrowers, while the Philippine Deposit Insurance Corporation, Privatization and Management Office, Philippine Crop Insurance Corporation and PHIVIDEC Industrial Authority will provide information on assets for sale, insurance assistance and regional investment opportunities.
