Estonia's Financial Supervisory Authority has issued B2 Impact OÜ with a credit servicer or debt collection licence, authorising it to call in debts arising from banks’ and creditors’ credit contracts. The licence permits the firm to collect payments for overdue claims and to negotiate terms with borrowers or debtors. The authorisation also imposes obligations including handling complaints related to the credit contract and informing borrowers about requirements under the bank’s or creditor’s credit contract, including changes to interest rates, fees or payments. B2 Impact OÜ’s management board members are Marko Ilves, Jennie Maria Ollila and Kennet Davy Bernhard Kronman. Under the Debt Collection and Debt Purchase Act, debt collection firms acting as credit servicers for debts arising from banks’ or creditors’ credit contracts must apply for a licence by 30 June 2025. The full list of licensed debt collection agencies will be published in the Financial Supervisory Authority’s online register of market participants.
