The Chile Financial Market Commission (CMF) announced that 12 providers of payment processing services (PPPS) may continue carrying out cross-border processing operations after submitting statements of intention to adapt their activities to the regulated terms set out in Chapter III.J.2 of the Central Bank of Chile’s Compendium of Financial Standards. The authorisation is based on the entities meeting the requirements in the transitory provisions of Chapter III.J.2, which were amended in July 2024. The PPPS covered are ALPS SpA, EBANX Chile Limitada, Inversiones y Asesorías Integral Solutions SpA, PayU Chile S.A., Dlocal Chile SpA, Bamboo Payment Systems Chile SpA, PagSeguro Chile SpA, Payku SpA, PPRO Chile SpA, Flow S.A., Pay Retailers Chile SpA and Kushki Chile SpA. The CMF’s regulation to align its framework with the III.J series of chapters is under revision following the end of a public consultation on February 7, 2025. Once the final regulation is issued, all PPPS conducting cross-border processing will need to meet the applicable enrolment conditions before December 2025.
