The State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) held a working session with Working Group No. 03 of the Central Steering Committee for science, technology, innovation and digital transformation to review SBV’s sector databases and administrative procedures, focusing on data integration for the National Data Centre and paperwork reduction. SBV reported progress on four databases assigned for synchronisation under Government Resolution 71: a data warehouse, credit information, a bank code database, and statistical tables on the SBV portal. The data warehouse and portal statistics have been synchronised to the National Data Centre, while the bank code and credit information databases are ready but awaiting the National Data Centre’s API design documentation, with synchronisation expected to complete in September 2025. The credit information database is already connected to the National Population Database and SBV is coordinating system checks with the Ministry of Public Security’s C06 unit to enable direct connectivity. On administrative simplification, SBV identified 39 procedures under its authority among 1,139 procedures where dossier components could be replaced by integrated data, and is upgrading 14 of the 39 to online public services while reviewing the remaining 25. The Ministry of Public Security urged SBV to develop an industry data strategy and complete a banking-sector enterprise architecture aligned with the national digital architecture framework under Decree 194/2025. SBV leadership also signalled continued work to build additional data systems within its supervisory remit.
