The Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan has released the results of its 2024 survey on sustainable finance in the financial sector, covering banks, insurance companies and investment companies. The survey assesses the current state of environmental, social and governance (ESG) principles in financial institutions and the steps taken to implement them. The Central Bank noted that the findings are used in implementing its policy on developing sustainable finance in the financial sector. The exercise is conducted annually with results made public, and the 2024 survey is the second iteration following the 2023 survey report published on the Central Bank’s website.
