Zimbabwe's Insurance and Pensions Commission (IPEC) announced that Zimbabwe will host the Organization of African Insurance Supervisory Authorities (OAISA) Annual General Assembly in Harare from 17 to 20 November 2025, bringing together insurance supervisory leaders and technical experts to discuss regulatory cooperation, resilient insurance markets, consumer protection and financial inclusion. The programme includes an Executive Committee meeting on 17 November, a capacity-building seminar on 19 November and the Annual General Assembly on 20 November. The seminar agenda covers agricultural index-based insurance solutions for climate-related risks, risk-based supervision and opportunities linked to the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), with commissioners and senior officials from supervisory authorities across Africa expected to attend.
