The Egypt Financial Regulatory Authority issued a board decision extending the deadline for insurance companies to submit periodic financial statements for the financial period ended 31 March 2025, setting a new filing cut-off of 7 September 2025. The measure also requires insurers to provide their external auditor with the board-approved financial statements for review by 15 August 2025 and to notify the Authority. The extension is intended to give firms additional time to prepare the statements in line with requirements issued under the Unified Insurance Law, after the Authority identified that some entities needed a longer preparation window. Companies whose investments include one or more insurance companies were granted a further 15-day extension beyond the applicable submission deadline for the financial statements covered by the decision.
