The Superintendency of Banks of Panama held a specialised workshop for its technical team aimed at strengthening banking regulation through the use of advanced digital tools. The programme covered cybersecurity and digital infrastructure resilience, secure enablement of banks’ core systems including migration involving VMware and Huawei DCS, financial innovation and inclusive digital services, mobile money infrastructure and financial inclusion, and strategic alignment and action planning. The training focused on data-protection technologies for critical infrastructure and approaches to modernising legacy systems without compromising regulatory compliance or consumer security, framed as consistent with international best practices and anti-money laundering (AML) regulations.
