The Ukraine National Commission on Securities and Stock Market reported that Oleksiy Semeniuk has been appointed as its Chairman by a presidential decree, changing the leadership of the regulator overseeing capital markets and organized commodity markets. Semeniuk’s background includes senior roles in the banking sector and subsequent work developing business projects in the manufacturing industry, with experience establishing and managing companies and practical expertise in finance and corporate governance. He identified priorities including maintaining stable and predictable regulation, ensuring the Commission’s continuous operation under martial law, increasing transparency of regulatory decisions, protecting investors, and harmonizing capital market regulatory approaches with European standards.
