The Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Ontario has initiated enforcement action against Derek Chapman by issuing a notice of proposal to refuse to renew his life and accident and sickness agent licence. FSRA alleges Chapman is not suitable to be licensed under Ontario’s Insurance Act and regulations because he is not of good character and reputation, or otherwise suitable to receive a licence under section 4(1) of Ontario Regulation 347/04. Chapman has requested a hearing before the Financial Services Tribunal regarding the proposal.
